Level students will continue to write the equations of a line. Honors will focus on writing equations of lines that are parallel and perpendicular to the x- and y-axis. They will also be able to transform questions from point-slope, slope-intercept, and standard form.
This is our first lesson in Unit Two. Students will learn about functions. When given mapping diagrams, tables, graphs, and ordered pairs students will be able to determine if it is a function or not.
Both Level and Honors took a Unit One Practice Test. The practice test is a reflection of what the real test will be and should give you an idea of what you need to study to be successful. The test will be on September 16th or September 19th.
August 30th and 31st, 2016 Level - Students learned solving inequalities. The big idea is that it is the same idea as solving decimals, BUT when you divide or multiply by a negative you have to FLIP THE INEQUALITY SYMBOL. HW 1 - 3 Honors - Students continued solving more complex equations and inequalities. HA 1 - 3
